It's a shame that you didn't finish this loop. It was going places. Bouncy synth and guitar do seem to work. The drums fit very nicely. Good effort.

This tune has potential. I think it could do with a little more of a bass kick to add extra presence.The melody is nice but could do with an extra layer of melody, possibly in a lower octave to build it up.
On the whole though, very solid effort mate.

The guitar melody? There is an extra layer--there's a bass synth in there that diverges/coincides with the guitar. Nonetheless, I'll try out your tips.
